It’ 8:30am and I’m sitting at Starbucks. An unbelievable sense of emotion has just hit me like a Mac Truck, yeah it might be the lack of sleep and the Grande coffee but I’d rather believe it’s because in a few hours we are about to leave our small town for a while and just be together! I’m not sure what tomorrow, next week or even next month will bring but that’s what’s so exciting!! (Note to self – investigate proper usage and etiquette when using exclamation points). Our backpacks are all packed and ready to go…a sense of calm has been rolling upon us since late last night and we can all feel it. I am so happy to be with my family and at the same time I am so happy to simply just “be”!!

Have a great time!! Can’t wait to see your updates along the way. By the way, I have a very close friend who is a world traveler and she says that you absolutely can’t miss going to New Zealand! She has traveled the world by backpack on her own for many years and knows alot about most destinations. You’ve probably heard lots of advice about where to go and where to stay and your itinerary may be pretty set….but if you want to connect with her to find out any info, let me know! We already miss u Kennyy! Hope you have a safe trip and keep us posted on your journey:) We love you so much Ken-doll! We can’t believe your going to be gone a whole year! Have lots of fun:) We are going to miss all of our memories and laughs hahaha:D
